Premier Inn is recruiting a hands-on, team-focused Hotel Duty Manager to join our team at the Leeds City (Elland Road) Premier Inn.

Key Responsibilities

1. Shift Leadership & Floor Management

  • Hands-On Leadership: Lead daily shifts from the front—jumping in to assist reception during peak check-in, supporting housekeeping with room checks, or helping during busy breakfast service.
  • Pre-Shift Briefings: Conduct clear, motivating pre-shift huddles to set daily targets, allocate tasks, and highlight guest satisfaction priorities.
  • Problem Solving: Act as the main point of escalation for guest inquiries, resolving issues promptly with empathy, composure, and efficiency.

2. Team Coaching & Development

  • On-the-Floor Coaching: Support, mentor, and guide multi-departmental team members throughout the shift.

3. Operational Excellence & Safety

  • Previous Leadership Exposure: Experience managing teams or shifts in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
  • Transferable Sectors: Prior hotel experience is not required. Candidates from retail, supermarkets, pubs, restaurants, leisure, call centers, or customer service supervision (e.g., Team Leader, Shift Supervisor, Assistant Manager) are highly encouraged to apply.
